Vehicles leaving Europe
After purchasing the vehicle by a French legal person performing the automobile activities or by a car dealer, you have to report the export of the vehicle in accordance with the French laws. You shall be issued a document by the custom authorities which is necessary for the export of vehicle between the European Community and third countries.
Clearing the vehicles in Morocco (MCV)
The procedure of clearing motor vehicles and motorcycles with two wheels over 80 cm3 is different depending on the fact if the user performs the clearing at the customs office at the border or at the customs department within the borders of the Kingdom of Morocco.
FOR THE CITIZENS OF MOROCCO
The clearing of motor vehicles and motorcycles with two wheels over 80 cm3 imported from abroad by a person staying in Morocco (a Moroccan or a foreigner) must take place at the customs office (at the border), except for the vehicles imported with a Temporary permit (AT) for those living abroad (MRE or other way) or the clearance can be performed in one of the customs offices within the Kingdom of Morocco.
Documents submitted to the customs office at the border:
- Vehicle licence (original + copy)
- Identification document (Moroccan identity card or residence permit)
- Original invoice for the purchase of the motor vehicle three months old or less than three months
- Authorisation duly validated by the competent body abroad, issued to the owner of the vehicle, if import is performed by the second owner
Documents submitted to the customs department within the Kingdom of Morocco:
- Identification document, two copies, issued by the competent body for vehicle registration
- Identification document (Moroccan identification card or residence permit)
- Original invoice for the purchase of the motor vehicle three months old or less than three months
- Original statement on the temporary permit « D16 Ter » issued and filled at the internet site of the Moroccan customs or « D16 bis » issued by the entry customs office
- Authorisation duly validated by the competent body abroad, issued to the owner of the vehicle, if import is performed by second owner, not by the owner.
FOR THE CITIZENS OF MOROCCO LIVING ABROAD (MRE)
Moroccan citizens-foreigners temporarily staying in Morocco
Documents submitted to the customs office at the border:
- Vehicle licence (original + copy)
- • Identification document (Moroccan identity card or residence permit)
- • Original invoice for the purchase of the motor vehicle three months old or less than three months
- • Authorisation duly validated by the competent body abroad, issued to the owner of the vehicle, if import is performed by second owner, not by the owner
Moroccan citizens living abroad with the permanent residence in Morocco for the vehicle entering Morocco with the temporary permit
Moroccan citizens living abroad (MRE) and who occasionally stay in the country, can clear his car or motorcycle with two wheels not exceeding 80 cm3 , in the Kingdom of Morocco at the customs office he shall choose, after obtaining the approval by the customs bodies when entering the country referring to the temporary permit.
Documents obtained at the customs office:
- Identification document, two copies, issued by the competent body for vehicle registration
- Identification document (Moroccan identity card or residence permit)
- Original statement on the temporary permit « D16 Ter » issued and filled at the internet site of the Moroccan customs or « D16 bis » issued by the entry customs office
- Original invoice for the purchase of the motor vehicle three months old or less than three months
- Authorisation duly validated by the competent body abroad, issued to the owner of the vehicle, if import is performed by second owner.
